The Chamber Philharmonia Cologne, a seven piece chamber orchestra from Cologne must have heard about Canowindra’s now famous, ten year old baroque music festival, Baroquefest.
Baroquefest chairman Richard Statham said, “They invited themselves to come and play at Canowindra’s All Saints Church. The orchestra’s international tour is sponsored by Mercedes Benz whose head office is also in Cologne.”
While in previous years they have performed in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne, this time they will also be touring the regions.
The concert at All Saints Church (Vivaldi, Bach and Sarasate) will be at 7pm on Tuesday 25 February. Bookings at www.trybooking.com/CXKJE or door sales 30 minutes prior at the church. Ticket prices are: adult $45, concession $40, student/child $35.
