Twelve of Canowindra’s home-grown netballers are hitting the courts for Cowra in 2021. These players range in age from 11 to 16 and will play across five age divisions.
The girls all began playing netball in Canowindra as a part of the PythoNettie Net Set Go program.
They will be training twice a week in Cowra and playing at five regional carnivals in the lead up to the state representative netball titles, which will be held in Sydney in June.
Going to state is a big deal as it is three days of competition playing against teams from all over the state. The Canowindra netball girls will be fundraising over the next couple months to help with the costs of getting to state.
Canowindra is so proud of how far these girls have come. They are improving their skills all the time and love that they get to play netball with their friends.
PythoNettie Net Set Go is a program which started in 2016. It runs on a Friday afternoon during term two and three. Check out the PythoNettie Net Set Go Facebook page for the 2021 start date.
