The members of Millamolong Polo Club, the Charity team and Millamolong Australia are pleased to announce some additional
charity monies that have been donated this week to local and international projects. The allocation of donations from the extra funds were allocated as follows this week:
• $2,000 Riding for the Disabled (Orange branch) – These funds will help with the ongoing maintenance (including Vet fees) of the RDA horses as well as the key needs of the RDA.
• $4,800 The Raising the Read Triplets Incorporated and goes towards the ongoing house build and equipment budget.
• $5,300 Huruma Bore Project for a community in Tanzania who support children through school but currently have no access to water so cannot create vegetable and grains crop so therefore cannot become self-sustainable. Members of the Millamolong Community will be visiting the actual site themselves to ensure funds are spent transparently and the goal of a bore achieved.
• $900 Prader Willi Syndrome Research Australia – a local initiative driven by Justin Johnson, which is supporting a national cause and awareness program.
Mark Ward, Chairman of the Raising the Read Triplets Inc said “Construction of the Read house is progressing well with the rendering of the outside walls now underway. The family hopes to move in by Christmas! The generosity of cash donors, tradies, material suppliers and local volunteers have all joined hands with the family in this wonderful local community project. Thanks to Millamolong Polo Club for selecting us as your local charity. Your support is very much appreciated”.
