The Canowindra Ladies Bowlers showed their commitment and dedication on Tuesday as they braved the sweltering heat. President Betty Jenkins said, “We will play up until 38 degrees and it was 37 so it was a close call.”
Betty assured there were regular breaks taken and everybody stayed hydrated. Some even had a stand out game such as Moyna Rue, Libby Balcombe, Margaret Gosper and Colleen Crump who were the last ones to make it inside.
Betty said, “Lucky there was a breeze that kept it bearable but we had some very keen bowlers despite the temperature and all allocated games were played.”
The ladies have all been practicing lead- ing up to pennants where they verse other towns in the district.
