With the Thor9 cage the CWT will be able to hold competitions and school holiday camps.
For over twelve month, the Central West Throwers (CWT) club together with with the help of local Councillor Andrew Pull, have campaigned for an IAAF certified Throws Cage. CWT are excited to announce that Cabonne Council have approved the purchase of the Cage and the project has been handed over to the Canowindra Sports Trust to complete. The deposit has been paid and everyone is anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Throw Cage so the building process can start.
CWT received a fantastic quote from Queensland based company Play Hard Sports for the Thor9 cage, which will enable them to hold competitions and school holiday camps. CWT coach Ernie Shankelton also has two other leading coaches who are willing to come to Canowindra to mentor our future champions in the field of hammer, discus, shot put and javelin.
A big thank you to those helped CWT achieve their dream of a competition throws cage. As the saying goes, “build it and they will come.”
