Rosnay Cellar Door will be presenting a new exhibition this Saturday, 4th February at 6pm, titled “Art Journeying” featuring Artist Michelle McCormack.
This is Michelle’s first solo exhibition and shares her story of creating art, working with others to heal through art and healing herself through her life’s journey.
Michelle is an abstract artist by nature and applies art therapy based techniques to her creative pieces, such as neuro-graphic and process healing studies.
Recently, Michelle has taken to mixed media and deeper textured paintings and will also show 3-dimensional restyled furniture pieces painted in her own unique style.
“My exhibition is primarily about Mother Nature and is inspired by the ebbs and flows of earth’s daily happenings, be that a peaceful place in nature or painting up a storm and how I see it through colourful, textured and untamed forms,” said Michelle.
“I was impacted by the floods, as was the community, part of this exhibition will feature some artworks that are a focus on the healing of lost memories and photos. It is the beauty of healing. I am so passionate about creating art that is a major drive behind this artist!”
On Saturday, 4th February Michelle is holding a Paint and Sip Workshop at the Cellar Door from 1.30pm – 5pm. Enjoy the fine wines from Rosnay as you create a mixed media abstract artwork during the class. Following the class, you are invited to join Michelle’s opening with your finished artwork. Michelle’s ‘Art Journeying’ exhibition will be displayed for the month of February and the Cellar Door is open from 10am – 4pm Friday-Sunday. Michelle looks forward to sharing an art journey with you.
