Community Group of the Year – Canowindra Christmas Day Lunch Committee:
Since 2012, the Canowindra Christmas Day Lunch Committee has brought joy and connection to those who might otherwise spend Christmas alone. With two original members still at the helm, this group organises a free, inclusive event that welcomes everyone, regardless of their circumstances.
The committee’s work goes beyond a meal—it fosters a sense of belonging and community. From volunteers to local businesses and organisations, the generosity of Canowindra shines brightly through donations, time, and effort. This initiative has become a cherished tradition, offering support and kindness to those in need during the festive season.
