Independent candidate for Calare, Kate Hook with Canowindra Progress Association President, Tom Beath.
The Canowindra Progress Association is hosting a series of “Meet the Candidate”
events to give the local community the chance to engage with key political figures ahead of the upcoming Federal election.
The first event took place on Tuesday, 18 March, at the Canowindra Services Club, where Kate Hook addressed residents eager to hear her perspectives on the issues affecting the community. The event provided an open platform for the community to ask questions and engage in meaningful discussions about the issues that face Canowindra and our surrounding areas.
The next candidate to meet with the community is Sam Farraway, who will be in attendance on Wednesday, 26 March, at the same venue, starting at 6pm. This event promises to offer another opportunity for residents to hear from a local candidate and share their thoughts on the pressing matters that impact their lives.
In addition, Andrew Gee has expressed interest in attending a future session, with confirmation of his participation expected in the coming week. These sessions are focussed on ensuring that the voices of local residents are heard and considered during this election period.
The “Meet the Candidate” sessions are a great way for the Canowindra community to make informed decisions by directly interacting with the individuals who could shape the future of the region. Residents are encouraged to attend and take part in these important conversations.
