The 2024 Canowindra International Balloon Challenge has officially begun! This amazing photo was taken by balloonist
Steve Campbell.
Eyes to the skies! Balloons officially took to the skies the morning of Sunday 21st April in the first flight for the 2024 Canowindra International Balloon Challenge, and there are still plenty more opportunities throughout the remainder of the week and into the weekend to see the spectacle that is the launch and flying of the balloons.
Still to come as part of this amazing week is the Pop Up Choir with Nerida Cuddy, Noojee Lea Open Garden, live music and wine tasting at the Canowindra Services Club, open gardens at Suttor Street, Short Street, Blatchford Street with afternoon tea at Canowindra Connections.
Heading into the weekend, Friday 26th April, Bjorn Again is all set to bring their spectacular concert and production to the Canowindra Sports Complex in what will be an amazing night under the stars. All the concert goers will be well served with food trucks and vendors onsite, along with a full licensed bar. Gates open at 5pm.
The colourful Street Parade will begin on Gaskill Street from 10am with Tommy Jeffs leading out the dancers, marching band, floats, cars, balloons and more. The ever popular Ben Hall re-enactment will be a feature highlight of this year’s parade.
The Cabonne Community Glow gates open at 3pm to over 120 stalls. Your tastebuds will be tempted with 40 of those stalls being food vendors to really cater for the crowds.
