The members of St Edwards P&F have decided to focus on the beautification of the school gardens for 2020 in light of the Coronavirus pandemic. With a lot of restrictions still in place around COVID-19 it will be hard for the P&F to host any events with large crowd numbers to raise funds for the school.
During the summer break a brand new black perimeter fence was installed around the school and an engraved paver path was built at the entrance to the school administration building on Tilga Street.
Under the guidance of gardening guru and St Edwards parent Bec Brown, the idea is to replant out some of the existing garden beds within the school with natives and roses that are hardy and grow well in the Canowindra area. There will also be a number of new pathways constructed and a bench seat placed in one of the gardens.
The group of hard working Mums and Dads will start the process next weekend with a working bee at the school to be held on Saturday 27th June 2020.
The P&F Committee are hoping to involve as many students as possible in the garden beautification project so that the new garden beds are maintained and respected by all students.
